St. Louis County Library has long collected resources for North American Research.  The collection began with the acquisition of the Library of the St. Louis Genealogical Society and was further bolstered by the donation of the National Genealogical Society Book Loan Collection.  H&G collections include resources for Canada, Mexico, and the following US States:

Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia.

Research Guides

History & Genealogy Staff have developed many subject specific research guides related to the resources in our collection including  French North America, the American Civil War, etc.
