Eye Thrive will send its state-of-the-art Mobile Vision Clinic to five St. Louis County Library locations this summer to provide free eye exams and prescription glasses for kids ages 4-18. A parental consent form must be completed prior to the eye exam. Children will be examined on a first-come-first-served basis, capacity is limited.

St. Louis County Library Foundation has received a $200,000 donation from Emerson to sponsor a new St. Louis County Library (SLCL) bookmobile. This generous donation will fund a state-of-the-art mobile unit that will hit the road in the second half of 2024. The current SLCL bookmobile fleet is aging and in need of replacement. SLCL has made school bookmobile replacement a major priority in 2023 ensuring the Library District can continue providing equitable services to students in St. Louis County. The gift from Emerson is the third donation towards the new bookmobile fleet. Great Southern Bank and the Cardinals have both made donations in 2023 to sponsor a new bookmobile.

Parent Packs offer parents and caregivers quick access to topics that kids and adults have questions about. Each pack contains books and other information around a topics such as the first day of school, death, potty training, going to the dentist and more.

St. Louis County Library offers notary services free to all patrons at all locations. Notary services are available Monday through Saturday during normal library hours, but not less than 15 minutes before closing.
