Wanted Orthodox burials so broke away from Scherith Israel Cemetery. 1911 - acquired property of Shaaris Israel (congregation at 13th & Carr). 1924 - name changed to B'nai Amoona Cemetery. Congregation located on Garrison / Lucas. Blackberry Lane cuts through middle of cemetery - bodies had to be relocated when street was extended.

Notes: AKA: Village à Robert Cemetery in 1794. In 1969, Bridgeton converted the land to a Memorial Park and installed a Memorial wall with a list of 101 names. The marker was removed 2002-2003 by the St. Louis Airport Authority and the bodies were disinterred and transferred to St. Ferdinand Cemetery in Florissant along with the Memorial Wall. During the process, bone fragments were found for 709 burials. St. Ferdinand Cemetery recorded 709 internments in section 70, giving each burial the surname "Doe" in their records.
