United Church of Christ Records
The United Church of Christ (UCC) was created in 1957 by the merger of the Congregational Christian Churches and the Evangelical and Reformed Church. For more information about denominations that merged to create the UCC, see "Historical information about the United Church of Christ." Depending on its origins, a congregation's name can include the terms "Evangelical," "German Evangelical," "Evangelical and Reformed," or "Congregational."
This finding aid has been created to facilitate access to records of UCC and related congregations available on microfilm in St. Louis County Library’s History and Genealogy Department. If the record was microfilmed by the Genealogical Society of Utah, the Family History Library (FHL) film number(s) has been included for the convenience of those researchers outside of the St. Louis area.
The History and Genealogy Department also has records for Catholic, Lutheran and a few other Protestant church records on microfilm.
