Great Britain Church Records
We have holdings for church records in Great Britain (England, Wales, and Scotland). Sources include include baptisms, marriages, burials, and mortcloth records.
Where possible, the actual church where the records were recorded has been pinpointed. If the church was destroyed, such as those destroyed by the fire of London, extended efforts were made in identifying the church's original location in order to locate the pin on the spot where the church formerly stood. In a few rare cases, a church was not located and a pinpoint marks the local town or village. Each church identified on the map lists the source of records (sometime multiple sources) associated with the church, including book call numbers, Family History Library film numbers, or in some rare instances, identifies the source as a microfiche.
