St. Louis County Library will host a Black History Celebration in February. The theme for 2024 is “African American Arts: Inspiring, Impacting, and Influencing Every Generation.” Programs include a keynote event with MSNBC host Joy-Ann Reid, Hollywood legend Billy Dee Williams, WNBA star A’ja Wilson, performances by the Black Rep, a jazz concert, a gospel celebration, author events, dance workshops, and more.

St. Louis County Library Foundation presents an evening with international drag superstar RuPaul. RuPaul will discuss his memoir, “The House of Hidden Meanings.”
The event will take place on Monday, March 11 at 7:00 p.m. at The Pageant, 6161 Delmar Blvd.,St. Louis, MO 63112. Tickets go on sale at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 19 and can be purchased through The Pageant. Proceeds from the event benefit the St. Louis County Library Foundation's community literacy initiatives.

St. Louis County Library (SLCL) and the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra (SLSO) are excited to announce a new partnership aimed at fostering a deeper appreciation for symphonic music within the community. Starting January 17, all SLCL branches will provide free SLSO concert vouchers to library patrons. Vouchers will be available at any SLCL branch, while supplies last. Each voucher provides up to two tickets to a classical concert or up to four tickets to a family concert for first-time SLSO attendees. There is a limit of one voucher per patron.

St. Louis County Library Foundation’s Favorite Author Series, Washington University Arts & Sciences,  and The Novel Neighbor present acclaimed, National Book Award nominated novelist Nana Kwame Adjei-Brenyah, author of one of the most talked about books of 2023 - “Chain Gang All-Stars.” The event will take place on Wednesday, January 31 at 7:00 p.m. at Washington University’s Emerson Theater in the Knight Conference Center (Washington University Campus - Throop Drive at Snow Way, St. Louis, MO 63130). The program is free and open to the public. Books will be available for purchase at the event from The Novel Neighbor.

Portraits of a Life.” The event will take place on Tuesday, February 20 at 7:00 p.m. at the Skip Viragh Center for the Arts at Chaminade, 425 S. Lindbergh Blvd., 63131. Tickets go on sale at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, January 12 and can be purchased through Eventbrite.
