St. Louis County Library Foundation and the JCC of St. Louis are pleased to host an SLCL Authors @ the J event with leading sociologist, Adia Harvey Wingfield, author of “Gray Areas: How the Way We Work Perpetuates Racism and What We Can Do to Fix It.” The event will take place on Monday, November 27, at 7:00 p.m. at the JCC’s Staenberg Family Center – Mirowitz Performing Arts Center, 2 Millstone Campus Drive, St. Louis, MO 63146. St. Louis County Library and The Novel Neighbor bookstore are thrilled to announce the second annual St. Louis area book festival celebrating teen readers! The St. Louis Teen Book Festival will take place on Saturday, December 2, from 1:00-5:30 p.m. at Ladue Horton Watkins High School, 1201 S. Warson Road, St. Louis MO 63124. The event is free and open to all readers. The festival will feature book talks, author signings, and meet-and-greet opportunities with 19 amazing young adult authors.

St. Louis County Library will provide fresh produce at three library branches starting on Thursday, November 2 thanks to support from RX Outreach. Produce boxes will be available at the Florissant Valley, Lewis & Clark and Weber Road branches on Thursdays, November 2, 9 and 16th starting at 8:30 a.m. Boxes are distributed curbside in branch parking lots. Each branch will have 60 boxes of produce each Thursday. There is a limit of one box per family.

St. Louis County Library’s Winter Reading Challenge kicks off December 1, 2023 and runs through January 31, 2024. Last year over 16,800 people participated in the club, which offers fun incentives and reading opportunities for the whole family. Participants can track their activities online or by printing a paper log at home. Details are available at www.slcl.org/winter-reading-challenge.
