Tap in Center
The St. Louis County Library partners with several justice-involved organizations to provide a Tap In Center to help individuals recall bench warrants and connect with local support services.
We can assist with recalling warrants issued due to missing a court date in these courts only:
- St. Louis County Circuit Court (felony and misdemeanor cases only)
- St. Louis City Municipal Court
- Florissant Municipal Court
- University City Municipal Court

The Tap In Center is open every Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Florissant Valley Branch.
Individuals can show up in person, call 314-669-6185 or email TapInSTL@gmail.com for assistance.
At the Tap In Center, individuals can:
- Meet with an attorney about warrant resolution assistance
- Learn their case status and court date information
- Apply for a public defender
- Access pretrial support services through The Bail Project, like court reminders and transportation assistance
- Enroll in a program to receive court reminders
- Get assistance navigating the court process
This unique partnership brings together the St. Louis County Library, the Missouri State Public Defender’s Office, St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, The Bail Project, MacArthur Foundation Safety & Justice Challenge, and the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
Please note that the attorneys associated with the Tap In Center may only assist in facilitating a warrant recall request as part of the Tap In Center program. The attorneys cannot provide full legal representation through this program.

No. The Tap In Center is limited to assisting patrons with warrant-related issues. We cannot provide assistance for other areas of law.
Since the Tap In Center launched in September 2020, the Tap In Center has recalled over 1,200 warrants.
